Nurseries News Round-Up – Week 32

Your weekly round-up of news from around our wonderful Golden Apples Family nurseries is here!

ANIMAL MAGIC!

The Ark, Watton

The children got stuck into some amazing activities recently – creating stories with the animal sensory trays, using toys and their imaginations.

We made arrangements with shapes and blocks as part of some maths work, with Pelicans using mathematical language such as ‘tall tower’.

The children also explored loose parts to match numerals and quantities with natural items.

FARMYARD FUN!

Bluebell, Eltisley

We had a surprise visit from a farmer at the nursery recently.

With the pre-school children beginning to learn about different occupations and taking work home to complete for the new year, this helps further their development on farming, why we farm, what they do, and how they could work in farming one day.

They loved looking at the tractor and its huge wheels and can’t wait to have a ride on one soon!

WALKIN’ WONDERS!

The Beacon, Rendlesham

The Beacon team completed a 5k walk last night for Children In Need. They looked just as happy at the beginning as they did at the end. If you haven’t donated and would like to, please speak to one of the nursery team.

BRUSHING UP!

The Appletree, Attleborough

Thank you so much to Taverham Dental Health Clinic and dental expert Devon for coming out and talking to the children today about keeping our teeth healthy.

They sat beautifully, listened and really enjoyed joining in with the games. Each child went home with a sticker, tooth brushing chart, parent leaflet and their very own two-minute timer.

We’ve also been gifted a few new toothbrushes – if anyone needs a new one, please let us know or speak to any member of staff and we will pop one in your child’s bag.

PUDSEY’S PALS!

Head Start, Ramsey

The children had a lovely time celebrating Children In Need, exploring yellow play-dough, making Pudsey bear ears, decorating biscuits, colouring Pudsey pictures, painting spots, matching coloured spots to coloured cups and talking about numbers, shapes and colours.

Thank you to all who donated – we managed to raise around £55!

PAINTING PUDS!

Cornerstone, Martlesham

The babies and pre-schoolers got stuck into some painting fun to mark Children In Need – and a wonderful time was had by all!
